I haven't got lost once yet where in the other games I would constantly struggle(finding vendors in a town made in stone in KF2 for instance) to remember anything because it all mostly looked the same. I think 4 is the best so far though, the ps1 graphically wasn't really up to the task. I like that everyone is usually suffering the same fate also. The desperate worlds, sad characters, diverse locations, all pretty cool. When I tapped r1, strafe right, i went into lava and died. I think my first experience with 4 was checking the controls. So far it's fun, a little easy aside from lava, and just sort of an old school RPG. Anyhow, just thought I'd see what people thought. I almost decided to use a ps2 emulator to play it on pc and remap controls but don't want to start over since I'm 15 hours in. Also, what did you think of the game? Even now I'd say it holds up pretty well apart from the god awful controls. All the accessories seem to be garbage other than a couple which I've never bothered switching out. Pretty much put new armor on when you get it, the weapons I've switched some to change elemental damage. I turned it off and I'm about to go back into it but do you really need that ring? It seems like equipment while important isn't that interesting. I died after beating the boss because I was trying to get the fire ring in the chest across the lava but apparently wasn't tapping select fast enough to heal through it. The dragons respawn too fast, take too much damage, and it's a pretty uninteresting area. I've beat the lava blob boss and hated the entire area. However, I just started playing 4 on ps2 and I was wondering if anybody else has played this recently. They're just first person dnd-esque rpgs that play out in real-time. I pretty quickly realized these games are not that at all. I originally played kings field because people said it was like demon souls but first person.
